Y5 Trip to Sirius
⚽🥁 Year 5 Visit to Sirius Academy West 🖥️📚
Year 5 had a Siriusly interesting trip to Sirius Academy West last Tuesday and enjoyed a fantastic day of learning across a range of subjects!
🥁 Music: We explored Djembe drumming, creating our own rhythms before performing them together.
💻 Computing: Using Piskel, we designed our own 2D animations, bringing either a flag or a football goal to life.
🌍 Humanities: We learnt about the history of the World Cup and explored the geography involved in creating a successful bid to host the tournament.
✍️ English: We put our imaginations to work by writing detailed and descriptive setting descriptions.
📏 Maths: We became surveyors for the day, using trundle wheels to measure distances as we explored the school grounds.
It was a brilliant day filled with creativity, teamwork and hands-on learning. Well done, Year 5, for representing our school so brilliantly! 🌟
