Y5 Bikeability, T4W, Scientists and Reading!
Both 5O and 5U have impressed everyone with their determination and resilience during their Bikeability sessions. The children tackled each challenge with growing confidence and should feel incredibly proud of their progress!
In Talk for Writing, we have been exploring the use of modal verbs and parenthesis to strengthen our persuasive voices. The children put these skills to use by creating letters about animal captivity and conservation.
Our young scientists have also been busy developing their understanding of rocks and soils. This week, we delved into the fascinating process of fossil formation, investigating how clues from the past are preserved in the Earth.
Reading has been a real highlight too! In both Talk for Reading and Reading Rocks, the children have been captivated by The Boy at the Back of the Class by Onjali Q. Rauf; a story that has sparked rich discussion and deep empathy.
Well done, Year 5, for another week filled with curiosity, hard work, and enthusiasm!
