Y3 and 4 Fantastic Journey Stories
This week, the children in Year 3 and 4 have been busy writing their very own journey stories. These stories take the reader on exciting adventures — across mountains, through forests and over deserts.
The children have worked hard to create brave and interesting characters, mysterious settings, and intriguing objects for their characters to find. We’ve been learning how to use powerful adjectives, extend our sentences with prepositions and subordinate conjunctions.
Interestingly, one theme has become very popular in our classes — demons! Many writers have chosen to include dark forests, spooky caves, and fearsome demon characters in their stories. I wonder why that might be?
We’re very proud of our young storytellers and can’t wait to share more of their writing soon!
