Y1 and 2 Amazing Artists
During Art Day in Year 2, we learned about the artist David Hockney. We explored his work, especially focusing on his piece "Garrowby Hill."
We began by learning how to mix secondary colours from primary colours, experimenting with different combinations. Then, we practiced a variety of brush strokes and painting techniques to help us prepare for our final piece.
After that, we sketched our own version of "Garrowby Hill", inspired by Hockney’s style. Finally, we painted our artwork using the colour mixing skills and brush techniques we had practised earlier.
