Y6 are currently doing painting in art and are looking at ombre in the work of Paul Nash which links to our history work on World War 2. For National Poetry Day we watched a live lesson with the poet Tomos Roberts who read his new poem for the first time. We continued this poety work by reading the poem 'As I Close My Eyes' by Joshua Seigal which is a poem about daydreaming. We watched him perform this poem too. We then wrote a poem using his structure in pairs or groups. We will hopefully be able to perform our poems to a willing audience!! In maths we decided to take out learning outside and investigated time and clocks.
