Launchpad B.U.N.S
As the days are getting longer, warmer and brighter, we are certainly shining in The Launch Pad! Here is some news about all the amazing emotional literacy the children have been exploring.
B.U.N
We competed our B.U.N display, which was such a fun way to explore belonging, unity and ways that we nourish our relationships, when we feel nourished emotionally we can transform our own lives and the lives of others.
What Should Friendship Feel Like?
We often model what should friendship look like, but we don't explore the positive ways friendship can make you feel. The children explored the building blocks of healthy relationships, they all agreed that relationships need things to be successful and friendships thrive when you can communicate these feelings and emotions effectively.
Led by the upper KS2 children, it has been so lovely to hear them talk about relationships in such a mature way. It was agreed by all that friendships are fundamental to our wellbeing. Anyone you call a friend should live up to certain standards and you should also do the same.
How We All Fit Together
We made tessellated pictures in peer art to represent our connections and how we fit into our world. The children had a choice of tessellated shapes and used these to build connected abstract art pieces. The children respected each others ideas of belonging but all agreed that the fundamental things that remained the same: belonging means being loved, known, supported, connected, included, whomever you belong to!
